I just found out I've been accepted into the extremely selective Full-Time Diploma of Auslan at Tafe (They only offer 18 places per year)! This is AWESOME, given I have no deaf family and have only been signing for 6 months now. It means so much to me and I am so passionate about it. I'm so looking forward to completely immersing myself in the language (all classes are taken in sign, no voice is permitted) and getting back to full time study. I start in 2 weeks so I'm VERY excited!

I am also moving house, back to the gorgeous photographer's dream house- every room is completely different and has stacks of natural light, which means I'll be able to shoot more and have a dedicated studio room, given all my current work is happening in my shoebox studio apartment.

I, like many others am completely heartbroken over the loss of my childhood hero. I was interviewed last night after attending a tribute dance jam with some of Melbourne's top hip-hop, break & musical theatre choreographers and poured my heart out, I told the interviewer about how for a long time i insisted my family refer to me only as "Michael" and how I used to wrap my hand in plastic and wear white medical tape on my fingers. He will live on through his music, and continue to make millions of people happy. He will forever be missed.

On a lighter note I just shot with an AMAZING photographer on the weekend and did some of my coolest work yet, so that coupled with new work coming from my recent night of insanity with *NubileNinjaNymph and =Winter-Simbelmyne is making for a pretty cool injection into my portfolio!

THE SCARLETS are now represented by Freakfest management and are going into recording this weekend to lay down a live CD of our full set to date. I'll be recording the vocals under the watchful eye of Al Gammie of Melbourne rockers TEARGAS on the 17th-19th of July. We're having our promo photos done on the 22nd and will be booking live gigs from then, so get ready to (finally) get your rock'n'roll fix with us live!
